World’s Largest Easter Egg!!
On display today in the Russian town of Akaban is the worlds largest easter egg. Sponsored by the chamber of commerce the egg weighs in at over 4,000 Kilos
and is filled with 100% pure mallow. The egg was the brain child of Anton Chekhov and took over 6 weeks with 30 volunteers working around the clock. Akaban is most known for manufacturing the famous AN-94 assault riffle, a gun that gave the Kalashnikov a run for its money during the cold war.
Though the factory is now closed the gun lives on and is still in use in some of the more volatile regions in the world. At the ribbon cutting ceremony the mayor proudly declared” Akaban is now open for business”. The egg will be on display through the month of April.
